What Does Bleeding After Unprotected Intercourse Indicate?
unlikely to be pregnant...explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
Firstly as you had bleeding n 30th march following unprotected intercourse on 29th March which were your menses, that itself rules out pregnancy because of your sexual encounter on 29th March.
Secondly , the small round blood spot which you saw on 18th APRIL was probably an ovulation bleed which is common during ovulation, usually accompanied by mild abdominal cramps as well.
Thirdly your next period is due by now i.e 26-28th APRIL and as you have already started experiencing spotting, it is likely that you should start your menses fully may be tomorrow or day after.
However if you are anxious then you may get a serum beta hcg test done to rule out pregnancy today itself. This is a blood based lab test which can detect hcg levels in blood which if are less than 1 then pregnancy is ruled out confirmatively, else if more than 1 or raised then there may be an ongoing pregnancy. This test is valid before the onset of menses.
Hence, you may get the test done or may wait for your menses to start or to be missed completely by more than 7 days before you can opt for a urine pregnancy test to rule out any pregnancy then.
I hope i have answered your query in detail,
Wishing you good health ,
Regards
