What Does Bleeding During Sex After Hysterectomy Indicate?
Question: I bleed while oral sex already had a hysterectomy 7 years ago. I do not a cervix

How severe is the bleeding? Is it just spotting?
What was the reason for having hysterectomy? Along with hysterectomy did you get the ovaries also removed?
Do you have any vaginal infection?
Were you at any time tested for HPV? What was the result of your last pap smear?
The reason for bleeding can be any of the following:
1.Injury to the vaginal introitus ( opening to the vagina)/ vagina during oral sex. This is more common specially if you have had your ovaries also removed. In that case lower estrogen levels in the body cause thinning of vaginal mucosa which can be easily bruised.
2. Infections like chlamydia, yeast infection can cause inflammation. This can cause vaginal mucosa to be easily injured. In that case you would have other symptoms like itching, discharge etc.
3. Sometimes there could be lesions like polyps/ mass at the introitus/vagina which can cause bleeding.
For these reasons mentioned, I advise you to take an appointment with your family physician/Gynecologist for examination to find out the cause for bleeding.
