This has not happened since, is it possible it corrected itself? Will they be able to diagnose this issue if I'm not actively bleedi g?
Brief Answer:
Still dangerous
Detailed Answer:
Thanks fro returning to HCM.
Despite the bleeding appears to have stopped it may start to bleed again at anytime. This is still a dangerous time and you do need to see a doctor to determine why you had a GI bleed. It could be as simple as a bloody nose or it could be as serious as a stomach ulcer or cancer. This is not something that should be ignored. This needs attention and that attention needs to be now,
So please I really can't emphasis enough the need for you to seek medical attention. They can find the cause even if you are not actively bleeding. You will probably need an upper and lower GI scoping done. This is done while you are asleep and there is no discomfort associated with the procedure.
In summary
1. GI bleed serious
2. Seek Medical attention immediately
3. Upper and lower GI scopes to determine source of bleeding
Still dangerous
