What Does Brown Vaginal Discharge During 13 Weeks Of Pregnancy Suggest?

Question: Hi Doctor, I am 13 weeks pregnant now, around 6th or 7th week i had very little brown discharge. My gynec suggested me to take bed rest for 15 days then. i have been working from home since then for a month, I will start going to office from monday. My concern is my home is in 3rd floor with no lift, I will have to come down in the morning and climb stairs in the night. Is it safe if i use stairs once in a day?
Brief Answer:
Yes, you can
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to :
1. Subchorionic hemorrhage
2. Threatened abortion
3. Low lying placenta
4. Idiopathic ( cause not known).
The diagnosis would have been made on ultrasound then. If the diagnosis was subchorionic hemorrhage or threatened abortion, and you had no episode of spotting further, then you can safely climb up and down the stairs, though slowly and cautiously.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
