What Does Burning Sensation During Urination Indicate?

Question: I am presently symptom free. But last week I had conjunctivitis in my left eye. At the same time for 2 days I had some mild burning when urinating and I did notice one whiteish discharge from my penis. I was prescribed anti-biotic cream for the conjunctivitis and it has cleared up. As I said except for the two day I experienced some discomfort when urinating I no longer have and symptoms. What could this be?
