This is important to rule out the cause of the Kidney dysfunction. Also this is important to find out that the insult is acute or chronic.
Provide me following details :
1. What problem lead you to go for testing.
2. Any history of diabetes or Hypertension?
3. Any history of urine infection?
4. How is your urine output?
5. Have you got it checked previously?

Hi. I'm anemic with no history of diabetes or hypertension. I have had several uti's the past couple of years. My urine output seems fine but I have not had it checked.

UTI is the reason.

Dear Friend.
Recurrent UTI seems to be the reason of your Kidney Involvement.
Important here is to find the cause of Recurrent UTI.
I advise you following:
1. Ultrasound Kidney and Urinary Bladder to see for Kidney size and echotexture and any Stone that might be causing obstructive nephropathy.
2. Kidney function test
3. Urine Routine microscopy and culture.
4. Serum Uric Acid levels
Till then consume lots of fluids.
