What Does Decreased Tumor Size When Diagnosed With Carcinoma Left Buccal Mucosa With Recurrence Mean Something Significant?
Question: I am case of carcinoma left buccal mucosa with recurrence. Post chemotherapy
status.
There is significant interval resolution of preexisting enhancing and FDG avid ulcerated mucosal
thickening lining the wall of surgically created left oroantral fistula. Minimal residual FDG avid
thickening is seen in left intraorbital extraconal compartment (SUV max: 6.42). Ipsilateral muscles
of mastication are not involved in present scan
what does this mean. Presently chemotherapy is going on with Erbitux Cetiximab
status.
