What Does Depression Not Responding To Agoprex And Zofresh Indicate?
drug/dose change indicated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
I can understand your concerns.
The drugs and dose which you are taking suggest that you are suffering from 'difficult to treat' depression.
You are taking two antidepressants pexep and agoprex, two sedatives lonazep and zolfresh and elfolin (this is usually indicated in depression which responds partially to primary antidepressants).
You are experiencing burning and pain in stomach and dryness in mouth, lips and eyes.
I think these are side effects of pexep (paroxetine). Paroxetine has anticholinergic effects which can cause these side effects.
I have some suggestions for you:
1. Change of antidepressant: If you are not tolerating pexep, another safer antidepressant like escitalopram or sertraline (prescription drugs) can be chosen for you.
2. Reducing the dose: if you have good improvement in you depressive symptoms with pexep, a dose reduction can be considered.
3. Stopping unecessary drugs: Agoprex can be discontinued if the response on pexep alone is good. Agoprex is a very weak antidepressant and not much effective.
Also, either of lonazep or zolfresh (or both) can be stopped if you do not have problem of insomnia or anxiety.
Here, I would like to mention that donot attempt these drug/dose changes on your own. Kindly discuss this with your doctor and proceed accordingly.
Hope you find my suggestions helpful.
Feel free to discuss further.
I wish you well.
Thanks.

Note I am taking pexep37 cr agoprex zolfresh lonazep elfolin
desvenlafaxine; bupropion.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Other antidepressants which you can try are desvenlafaxine or bupropion (prescription drug).
As no drug can be free from side effects, these drugs can cause initial nausea, vomiting and gastritis.
For insomnia, you are already taking lonazep.
Other option could be gabapentin.
Quetiapine in low doses can act as antianxiety, antidepressant and sedative agent.
Take these drugs only after discussing with your doctor.
There are no special centres for diagnosis of sleep disorders, as far as I know. But I think you can visit NIMHANS, XXXXXXX for sleep studies and diagnosis of sleep disorders.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Thanks.
