What Does Deviating Waveform Of Heart Scan Indicate?
Question: I use an Omron heartscan 801 meter and this morning it came up with the message deviating waveform.
I tried again 6 minutes later and it said stable waveform and has been ever since. Can you tell me if this is serious and I need emergency treatment. I attach copy of tracing

Can resend at following e-mail address...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
I have gone through your concern carefully.
Deviating waveform is indicating a possible artefarct. The fact that you are not having any symptom although the waveform presence, is strongly indicating artefact. I need to have the tracing report before final conclusions. So far, did not receive it. Can resend at the following e-mail address:

If you feel any unusual symptom, you can go to ER for further evaluation and treatment.
Looking forward to have the reports in!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I have gone through your ECG report and I did not find anything worrisome.
From what I have seen, the findings are indicating:
- artefacts
- you have been moving while running ECG
- the apparatus was too near to body giving false reports
Overall, nothing worrisome, everything normal.
