What Does Dry Skin And Itching After Quintuple Bypass Surgery Suggest?
Question: I had quintuple bypass surgery 8 monyhs ago. I am on metropolol,25mg,plavix 75mg, and 10mg of amlodipine. In the past 2 months or so i have severe itching on all parts of my body. Expecting a dry skin problem,I use a steroid cream that helps a little. I suspect plavix may be causing this itching. I am seeing my cardiologist in 6 days,. Can i stop the plavix and take 2 baby aspirins until then without creating a bigger problem?
Brief Answer:
Yes you can do that.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query
Yes you can do that , in fact I am much impressed by your medical knowledge .My recommendation is stop plavix and take 325mg of aspirin today and take 150 milligrams of aspirin from tomorrow until you meet your Cardiologist .
As of your skin itching is concerned I recommend not ti use steroid cream instead use simple calamine lotion or moisturizer.
Hope this information was useful to you
Any further clarification feel free to revert back.
