What Does Elevated SGOT And SGPT Levels Indicate?
I had raised a query earlier regarding high level of SGPT/SGOT in the blood report. My SGOT is 57 and SGPT is 80.
I was advised to get a Lipid profile done for further investigation. I have done the Lipid profile done and enclosed is the report.

Need to work on improving your lipid profile a bit
Detailed Answer:
Hi there, Thanks for coming back. Your SGOT/SGPT are OK for all intents and purposes and your Lipid profile is not perfect. but not dangerous either. Your HDL is on the low side of normal and your LDL is definitely high.
HDL stands for High density lipoprotein and these are the transport proteins in the blood that you want to have in the high side since they REMOVE fat and plaque build up from the walls of your arteries. LDL (low Density Lipoprotein) on the other hand is a bad transport protein and must be kept low to avoid atherosclerosis and all it's complications.
How does one do this? A modification of diet where unhealthy fats are cut from the diet and healthier unsaturated fats are added. Our nutritionists can help you with that. Also regular cardio exercise is a must to bring up the HDL numbers properly.
That you are a non drinker and non smoker is a good thing, keep it up. It will give you a happier healthier life.
Take Care.
