Question: My 7 yr. Old grandson fell last week hitting the back of his head. He blinks a lot since then but more at night. He says it feels like his eyes want to come out and he wants to push them back in..is there reason or help for this?

Brief Answer:
Visual problems are to be excluded first.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The problems that you mentioned, do not correspond to the ominous signs of head injury which are:
* Torrential vomiting
* Unconsciousness or altered consciousness
* Severe headache
* Convulsions

I am unable to make out the proper reason for his frequent blinking. You should get him a proper refraction or eye power check to see if the vision is fine. Most often such complaints are associated with visual problems. If that does not seem to be the case, a proper clinical examination is likely to bring out more information. A CT scan of the brain may be done if the doctor feels it necessary.

Hope that helps.
