What Does Excessive Crying In A 7 Month Old Baby Indicate?

Question: my son is 7 month old and he started crawling backwards
. from past few days he is very cranky and once we leave him on the floor, he starts crying. food wise he is taking cereals for lunch and dinner. drinks lactogen, only during night time I feed him. could you please let me know, why he is very cranky and keeps crying?

The development of the child seems proper for age. It is not unusual for children to be cranky at times. It could be that the child is seeking personal touch and attention. Try spending more time with the baby. Handle him and keep talking to him. It also helps in the development of the child.

About the food habits, I suppose that weaning with semisolids has already been done. Lactogen is now just an optional component. You can transition him to a mashed version of adult diet low on spices. Introduce one new food item a week. Do not worry. Things would be fine.
