Brief Answer:
Improper bile breakdown.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking query on HealthcareMagic.
Green stool is a common stool color change. It may be due to bile pigment in the stool.Bile is secreted by liver and is stored in gall bladder. In digestive tract bilirubin(pigment in bile) is broken down into stercobilinogen which imparts yellow color to stools. Increased persitalysis moves food too quickly thorough the intestine so the chemical can't break down hence gives green color to stools.
Secondly the green color may be due to certain foods like green, leafy vegetables or green food coloring.
So initially i would suggest you not to panic just keep a watch on symptoms.
If things dont settle down in 3-5 days then go for stool test.

Thanks.
