What Does Hard Insertion Of Catheter Into Vagina During HSG Indicate?

Question: Hi.. I recently had a HSG. The lady doing the hsg first tried to insert the catheter and said to the radiologist that she is not able to insert the catheter and later inserter the catheter with the help of some apparatus (I could not see what). I didnt have any pain during this. Do I have a very small cervical opening which is not allowing my husband's sperms to swim through? I had a transvaginal ultrasound once and that went smoothly

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Your apprehensions are misplaced because ther is no problem in the opening.
It was a speculum which was inserted in the vagina for putting a catheter inside and it is a normal procedure.
If a penis can go though in while doing coitus, then there is no problem for sperms going in.
Eventually the XXXXXXX is passed through this catheter and then HSG done.
You should not worry any thing about it.
Please revert to me or any further query.
Best of luck
thanks
