Brief Answer: Most likely,ESR is increased due to sinusitis. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing to HCM I have gone through your reports and history in detail. There are many possible causes of an elevated ESR. ESR is a non specific marker. A specific cause cannot be determined based on ESR alone.Generally it is followed up with other tests to diagnose medical condition. High ESR also indicates that you have some infection in the body.In your case, most likely it is due to sinusitis. You need treatment of sinusitis. You should take antibiotics and antihistaminics. ESR will come down with control of infection. Get well soon. Hope I have answered your question. Further queries are most welcome. Take Care Dr.Indu XXXXXXX
