
What Does High TSH Level During Pregnancy Indicate?

Question: Hi... I'm 28 F
I have hypothyroidism and I take Thyronorm 50mcg
Today I tested TSH value fasting without medication and value is 6 which is more... In December when I tested it was 2.4 ( fasting without medication).
I'm 5 week 4 days pregnant... My gynaec told to continue 50 mcg,..... I'm worried since TSH value is high and she told to continue same... she should have increased dosage ??

since I have hypothyroidism I dint do test for t3 and t4... only TSH test was done

In pregnancy thyroid hormone requirement is more, hence over correction is not a problem unless T3 and T4 levels are within range.
