What Does High Insulin Level Indicate?
Question: Hello, was hoping I could have some assistance interpreting my Insulin Tolerance Testing lab results. I was told my insulin was much too high at the 1hr and 2hr marks?
Brief Answer:
I will recommend a control!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
Your results look grossly normal unless there are some other symptoms that you would want us to talk about right now. It is true that the insulin levels are high but that in itself is not enough reason to raise alarm. if you have no other symptoms, I will recommend that you only get this test repeated at a later date. For now, ,there is no fear and no reasons for being too concerned.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thank-you, Dr.
The only symptoms that led to this test were- hungry after eating and a drop in energy especially around mid day. little bit of anxiety and depression which dont seem to be related to my thoughts.
many thanks.

Hi,
Be calm and relaxed about this. Keep me posted with your progress. Insulin levels before eating is normal and that is reassuring.
