What Does Increased Eosinophil Count Indicate?
Question: Had multiple CBC. First one a month back was 0.2 low. THe next one was .08 high then it went to 1.2 Tried a different clinic to compare one day it was .7 then the next day other clinic it was 1.2. Ige was hight but not super high 87 norm was 98. What are the causes of this. I read the internet HES can be a cause of high Eosinophils.

The CBC is totally normal. I have no other issues I feel fine. The doctor I saw said not to worry its normal. They have been elevated for a month but mostly under the 1.0 the highest one was 1.3 Like yesterday it was 7.5 but today was back to 1.2. He thinks its my allergies.

Yes,increased eosinophil count is generally due to allergy.However eosinophil count may also increase in worm infestation etc.
There may be lab variations regarding discrepancy in findings.
You need clinical correlation for allergy.You should avoid allergen which is precipitating allergic reactions.Allergen may be dust,smoke etc.
You are receiving right medicines.Antihistaminics are generally prescribed.If there are signs of super added infection then antibiotics are also prescribed.
