Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
Having increased saliva while on sleep could be due to:
- acid reflux
- oral infection (tonsillitis/gingivitis,etc.)
- or weaken muscles forming the oral orificium
If this started 6 months ago, then, most probably acid reflux is the cause especially if you are also having symptoms of hyperacidity of the stomach (burning, pain, feeling hungry/bloating, etc.)
Next, you are mentioning to be a male of 28 years old of age; in women, pregnancy is the most common cause to increased saliva.
So, if I was your caring doctor would start checking your oral cavity for possible infection/inflammation and then, check for acid reflux and get treated accordingly.
All the best.

Thank you for your reply,
According to your reply i do not have any of the acid reflux symptoms as you mentioned, and i do not have oral infection, and may have weaken muscles.

Hi back,
Sorry for the late reply.
As you say to have a personal history of skipping meals, I still think of hyperacidity problems with your stomach although you are not feeling the other symptoms. Sometimes, increased saliva or coughing especially at night are the most common causes.
Next, intestinal parasites can also cause the same problems. You can get a stool examination for ova/parasites for further evaluation.
You are saying to have problems with muscle around oral cavity. Can you please elaborate more and say why you think like that? Any test so far to confirm your problems with muscle?
Thank you.
Dr.Albana
This is only my thinking that it may causes of skipping meals, but i do not have cough problem, and i said i may have muscle problem, i am not done any test till now.
The symptoms that you said are not matching, i am not able to understand what would be the problem, I think i have to consult a doctor for physical exam, Please suggest that which specialist doctor i should meet for checkup?
ENT specialist first, then gastroenterologist
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I too think you need a thorough check up if you have not done any so far.
I recommend to see an ENT specialist first.
If Everything is ok, then should see a gastroenterologist and run upper endoscopy.
Hope this helps.
