What Does "inhomogeneous Opacity" In A Chest X Ray Report Suggest?

Question: I just got a chest xray done report says inhomogeneous opacity seen in the left lower zone.wat does it mean is is serious
Brief Answer:
Please get back with your symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query.
Inhomgenous opacity may mean anything starting from infection to cancer. Ideally any radiology report must be correlated clinically. Lower zone mean below 4th rib on X ray.
It would be better if you could tell your age, smoking habits.
Many a time it is beneficial to compare the present X ray with any previous xray of the past and seeing whether the opacity was present that time. If it was then whether has increased in size or regressed.
Best wishes
