What Does Irritation On The Tongue Indicate?

Question: Hi , I'm a 22 year old female with no medical conditions. I woke up this morning with some irritation on the tip of my tongue. It feels like it was burned or scratched but no more painful than that. what might have caused this? I have posted a picture below in order to give a clearer picture.

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query and the image.

As far as the irritation in the tip of your tongue is concerned, it can be because of the traumatic ulcer secondary to biting over the tip of the tongue by teeth. Nothing to be panic, it will heal in 5 days. You can take a course of topical analgesics like Choline salicylate and topical anesthetics like lignocaine.
