Hepatic steatosis is also known as fatty liver disease.

It is a very common diagnosis and is related to obesity.

It is characterized by fatty deposits forming in the liver.

This diagnosis cause the hyperechoic view of the liver.

I would like to suggest you the following examinations to evaluate the liver function:

Total bilirubin blood level

Liver enzymes

A complete blood count

Meanwhile, some suggestions about the diet are to avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine.

Do not eat sugary foods such as candy, cookies, and fruit juices.

Try to eat good protein such as,seafood,eggs,lean meat, good fats, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

I also recommend to lose weight if you are overweight.
