Question: What does it mean when testing negative for herpes with an igg index of <.90, although I was testing positive with an igg index of 32.00 6 months ago with several teats. Can having a lot of blood test make me loss antibodies and now I’m testing negative or I don’t have the virus anymore?

Brief Answer:
Possibly false negative results.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
You can test negative for herpes and have positive Igg which means that it lets it's antibodies when you are cured from it.
You can test Igg of herpes after 12-16 weeks from symptoms. Actually you should have positive Igg and I believe that you should repeat the test because it can be false negative.
There is no logic that you had positive results 6 months after infection and are having negative results later. There is no possibility that you lost antibodies while doing lots of blood tests.
Most probably you received false negative results.
Hope I have answered the question.

Does the body stop producing antibodies when the virus is hiding or inactive. Because I have never showed any symptoms or outbreaks but since the first time I did the test every time I did another test the index would be reduced till it became >.90 I don’t understand it.

Brief Answer:
Igg remain almost constant normally.

Detailed Answer:
The body stops producing igM but Igg should remain an almost constant level.
I don't know why your levels are getting low till being negative.
Possibly you may need to consult an imunologyst.
