What Does Light Brown Bleeding Along With Clots Indicate?
Question: Good Evening,
My last menstrual cycle, was about a month ago and was light brown and had clots. I am now going through the same thing again this month it is day two of brown and light. I took an at home pregnancy test and it came back negative.
What could be causing this?
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Can be due to hormonal imbalance.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The brownish discharge with a negative pregnancy test can be due to a hormonal imbalance or a mild polycystic ovaries. This can happen due to stress, excessive exercise or change in diet, etc. Since the pregnancy test is negative there is no need to worry. Taking a healthy diet and adequate rest can help your periods to return to their normal rhythm.

I did have an abnormal pap and my OB did an biopsy in Oct 2014. It came back with stage one precancerous cells. Is this related?
Brief Answer:
Can be due to a cervical lesion.
