What Does Low Progesterone Level And Spotting During Pregnancy Indicate?

Question: Hi, I am just 5 weeks pregnant. I had my hcg levels checked last week and the 1st was a little low at 194, but more than doubled to 643 in 3 days (1.7 day doubling rate). I also had a progesterone level of 63. I am still spotting a bit today and I took a clear blue conception indicator test and it did not register that I was 5 weeks yet. Is this a concern?
Brief Answer:
Not worrisome.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Since your HCG levels are increasing normally there is no need to worry. The slight spotting that you are having can be implantation bleeding. It will subside on its own in next few days. Do get a ultrasound scan done after 10 days to detect the fetal cardiac activity.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thanks for your response.
In relation to the clear blue conception test, is it less reliable than a blood test and does the hcg level in urine (first thing in the morning) differ to that of a blood test (ie. is it always less in urine?)
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Yes. Blood test is more reliable.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The blood test is a more accurate test and is thus more reliable. The levels of HCG are lesser than the levels in the blood thus are earlier detected. Please do not worry.
Hope my answer is helpful.
