What Does Lower Abdominal Discomfort Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 4 Jul 2016
Question: My wife has experienced moderate-to-slight lower abdominal discomfort following an instance of constipation that extends to the rectum area (pressure-type feeling rather than any sharp pain, including a sense of bloating and presence of gas) for the past week. The pressure symptom in the lower abdomen decreases with urination. She has had normal bowel movements since the initial constipation instance that occurred one week ago. She has not had a fever. She has not taken any medication or gone to confer with her primary care doctor. The symptoms seemed to gradually decrease slightly until last night after when we had dinner consisting of sushi for her. The symptoms are more noticeable this morning. Your thoughts as to a diagnosis and any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you. My email address is YYYY@YYYY
