What Does Lymphoctes Of 18.80 And Neutrophils Of 76.70 Indicate?

Question: Hi Doctor, I was down with fever and got the blood check up done. Everything seems to be normal, but LYMPHOCYTES is 18.80 and NEUTROPHILS is 76.70. I understand that its bit varied than the normal range.

Could you please let me know if I need to consult a doctor

As for the White count, if you have a fever, the high body temperatures actually stimulate more whiteblood cells to come into circulation from their hiding places in the lymphnodes and spleen. This is a natureal response to infections in most cases.

Most of the time, high sudden fevers are viral in origin, but it really depends on your symptoms.

Overall, what i can say based on what you have given me is that the High white count is related to the fever and is to be expected under these circumstances.

Once the fever is controlled, the white count will take a few days to get back to normal.
