What Does Mild Fullness Of P.C System Of Both Kidney Indicate?
i want to know , what do we mean by Mild fullness of PC system of both kidneys
Bilateral renal low density stones
Mild Prostatomegaly 22 gms
Post void residual urine of 12 %
Thanks for your query. Based on the facts and Ultra sound scanning report that you have posted, I would like to answer your queries point to point.
1) Mild fullness of the P.C systems indicates that urine from the collecting system is propelled slowly resulting into the system remaining full for little longer period than normal. However, this is insignificant and need not be taken seriously.
2) Density of the stone depends upon amount of calcium in the stone. You have urinary stones with low density meaning by they contain less calcium. So they are of low density and may be seen as faint shadows in X XXXXXXX film.
3) Normal Weight of the prostate at your age should be roughly 22 to 24 gm. It is little higher at 29 gms. This could be due to an infection (Prostatitis). However, you need not worry if you have no symptoms like fever, increased frequency of urination or burning urination etc. This can be cured by taking antibiotics for a week.
4) Post void urine of 12% indicates that your bladder is not emptied completely while urinating and 12% of the urine remains in the bladder after passing urine. This is also can be due to prostatitis and can be cured by drug like Tomsulosin.
Please consult a qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to ask if you have any more questions. I shall be happy to help you.
Thanks with Regards.

1) how do i know , which type of stone i have?
2) what do you advice to drink , or eat / or what foods or liquids to avoid for stone?
Regards,
XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.
The composition of the stone can be ascertained only after it passes out of its own or delivered out by any surgical intervention.and sent for analysis
One should consume at least 5 litres of water in 24 hours so that urine remains dilute which helps in preventing stone formation.
It has not been proved any particular food that cause stone formation however food items that contain high calcium and oxalate or phosphates e.g Cabbage,Tomatoes,Spinach. milk products etc.should be avoided.
Thanks with Regards.

one more question, i had a 8 mm stone before, but my doctor say its been passed away. is it possible as i had not even felt something passing or seen any stone passing through urine.
and does drinking beer help in passing stone?
Thanks for all your help.
Thanks for follow up.
Ultrasound scanning is the only test to confirm whether stone is still is there or passed out.
To consume Bear as a medicine is a common excuse presented by a person having stone. Beer acts as a diuretic, which can be achieved by drinking more water.
Thanks with Regards.
