What Does 'minimal Linear Fibrotic Standing At Left Lung Base' In A CT Scan Of The Chest Mean?
No need to worry for this.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the report you have attached.
It is chest x ray, not CT scan.
Minimal fibrotic stranding on CT scan is usually seen in
1. Smokers
2. Previous lung infection like pneumonia. Lung infection heal by fibrosis. And this fibrosis remains as it is and seen through out the life inn CT scan.
This fibrotic strands are old scarred lesions. So they are noninfectious, inactive and hence no need to worry much.
Please let me know
1. Do you smoke?
2. Do you have any past history of lung infection?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
No need to worry much.

Hi,
I can understand your concern.
I don't think your chest pain is due to this fibrotic area.
No need to worry for pulmonary fibrosis or lung cancer.
This kind of fibrotic lesions are usually static and don't progress into lung cancer or lung fibrosis.
So no need to worry much.
