What Does My CAT Scan Report Indicate?
Question: what does it mean when a cat scan shows a cyst on an adrenal gland. I can not see the special MD for 4 months and both my family doctor and the Radiologist said it could be cancer. I am a retired RN but can not find anything on this subject.

However, in most cases, this is not cancerous and usually just benign cyst or adenoma. To rule this out it would be good to check cortisol and steroid hormonal levels and repeat adrenal gland ultrasound in 2-3 months to check size progression.
