What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?
My wife XXXXXXX Age 27 years going through the heavy sneezing especially in the early mornings. We went for CT scan of nasal and below is the report I will write as it says exactly in the report.

Serial conronal sections of the paranasal air sinuses was studies without contrast.
Nasal septum is deviated to left side
Turbinates appear normal.
Mucosal thickness is seen in left side ethamoidal and in left maxillary sinus with left osteometal block
Frontal, right side ethamoidal, right maxillary and sphenoid sinus normal
Right side osteometal unit normal
No evidence of any mass lesion.
Bony sinus walls appear normal.
IMPRESSION: LEFT SIDE DEVIATED NASAL SEPTUM
MUCOSAL THICKENSS IN LEFT SIDE ETHAMOIDAL AND - DUE TO INFECTIVE ETIOLOGY

Thanks for the query.
I have read CT Scan report.
As per your clinical history & CT scan report it appears that your wife are having Deviated nasal septum to left with allergic Rhino-sinusitis .
If I were your wife treating doctor, I would advice her Steam Inhalation , saline nasal drop twice daily , Steroid nasal spray with antihistamine 2 puff each nostril twice daily for 6 weeks & Macrolide Antibiotic azithromycin for 10 days . Continue xyzal M .
See the response with above treatment .If response is good you can avoid surgery.
Even after surgery you need to take long term medication for sneezing.
You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
