What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Sat, 6 Aug 2016
Question: I had a ct scan because of pain in my left upper quadrant, under my rib cage and below as well.
Since my doctor is out of the office until the end of the month I wanted some general advice on the copy of the results.
Had with and without contrast, results showed a 7mm X 25mm growth on my spleen. Liver, pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder and bowels clear.
I would like to hear any opinion you might which might make waiting not so stressful.

Thank you, Liana Hickey

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare_magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Small hiatal hernia is not a cause for concern. You have just mentioned that there is small growth measuring 25mm * 7 mm ( it is quite small and is unlikely to be cause for concern). Exact cause of growth can only be known after reviewing CT images and detailed report. Opinion is only possible after knowing if its solid or cystic.

Kindly get back to me its following details for me to be able to assist you further

1. How long have you been experiencing pain in abdomen ?

2. Do you other associated symptoms like nausea/vomiting/loss of appetite?

3. Kindly provide me the CT images and detailed report

Awaiting your reply

Take Care

Best regards
Dr Shobha Deepak
