What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Hi,

I am female 27. I was diagnosed with kidney stone 15 days back.I had Ct scan yesterday. doctor showed me the stone but report says there is a small hypo dense interpolar area on right kidney .

What does this mean??

is this anything to worry about

A small hypo dense shadow in interpolar area of the kidney reported in your C.T Scan is most likely to be a solitary Renal Cyst .

They are present from birth and are always benign in nature and does not need any treatment .

There is nothing to be worried about it .

We commonly find such cysts when scanning is done routinely when it is being done as a routine investigations.

exact term in scan is small hypodense area in interpolaar region s/o likely to be renal cortical cyst.

Dr gave medicines for stone

can u please let me know if there is anything to worry??
