What Does My DXA Report Indicate?

Question: I have DXA results summary on lumbar spine l1 to l4 region, but report has comment says fracture XXXXXXX increased, T score -1.7, Z score -1.0, what's that mean?

Negative values on DXA reports mean that the bone mass is less than the expected average in the population. How far it is away is directly proportional to how severe the loss is. This way, both negative Z and t scores show that you have a diminished mass. This is why the report also states that you are at increased risk of having a bone fracture.
