What Does My ECG Report Indicate?
Good Evening.
Attached is my father reports for whom ECG and Echocardiogram has been taken . He has complained of Chest pain and presently in observation. Kindly could you tell what Heart problem he has.
Is it Mild or severe and what kind of procedure is been preferred to treat based on the 3 reports of him attached here.
Threatened heart attack - needs care
Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic
The situation suggests Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) / suspected heart attack - in evolution...
We cannot predict the severity at this stage – it needs examination, monitoring, blood tests and further follow-up. As of now, the overall function is good and he needs further assessment and assistance
The next step is to undergo catheterisation and coronary angiography with a view for possible intervention. It is the only way to directly ‘see’ the block, if any – and its location, extent, severity and so on. Coronary arteriography is invasive but it is the gold standard for this.
The aim of any investigation is to modify the treatment, based on the result.
Intervention – dilatation with balloon and placing a stent (Angioplasty) - or CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) may be advised based on the results.
Good luck
God bless you
Thanks for your reply.
My father has underwent Catherization and Angiography today and awaiting results.
On the day he got chest pain, he has shouted in high pitch due to an office issue , will that also can cause stress to the heart and its functioning.?
YES
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Stress is also a risk factor – so called Type A personality
When the basic pathology is there, this can precipitate a heart attack
He may need an intervention (Dilatation & stent) or Bypass – based on the results of the angio

Got the Angio report today from hospital.
Attaching it here for your view and comments.
Kindly can you advice the DOs and DONTs in terms of
Diet,
Exercise etc,Tips and suggestion to prevent Coronary Artery/Heart problem.
No significant obstruction in angio
Detailed Answer:
Hi
In angio, there is no significant block that needs intervention
He needs investigations and follow up for Blood sugar / Diabetes / Blood pressure / cholesterol
He must keep his weight to normal / even a little less
Quit smoking, if he is a smoker
Needs to do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise is not good.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.
He will have to take the drugs prescribed by his doctor – may include Beta-blocker and/or calcium channel blocker; aspirin and/or Clopidogrel; statins etc.
He needs regular follow up by his cardiologist
