What Does My EKG Test Report Indicate?
Question: Hi doc.... my husband has got his EGG done....The report shows SINUS TACHYCARDIA.... V-rate greater than 99 and BORDERLINE REPOLARIZATION ABNORMALITY..... ST deposit &abnormal T ... He is worried....Please help what does it mean

Hello, I am Dr Mody and I will be addressing your concern.
Dear mam, the ecg reading that you have uploaded is by all means interpretation by the automated ecg machine, and are wrong more than 60% of the time in the most modern machines and you need not worry, the sinus tachycardia means his pulse is on higher side but normal in rhythm, it must be due to anxiety while the ekg was being taken.
Repolarisation and St changes and the wave are dependent upon the lead position by the nurse and too non specific to comment.
However I would request you to upload the ekg so I can interpret it for you and guide you the further course of action.

Hi don't worry about the ecg it is good and normal. As I said the heart rate is higher because of mostly anxiety, and the other changes are Secondary due to increased heart rate.
However as your cardiologist I would recommend that in the coming week he gets a treadmill stress test and 2d echo to rule out any cardiac pathology.
Nothing to worry right now, no emergency.
