Brief Answer:
Quit drinking ASPP.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, how are you? my name is Dr Suresh Raghavaiah. I am a liver and pancreas specialist and I hope to answer your question today. I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
GGT is an enzyme which is elevated in alcohol induced liver damage. it is usually a specific marker for alcohol . so an elevation in the levels indicate that your drinking habits are harming your liver. although a person can survive with only 30-35% of the liver, the flip side is that the patient is usually a symptomatic till about 60% of the liver is damaged. a rise in GGT indicates that the process of liver damage has begun.
in addition, I understand that you are addicted to for twin and cigarettes as well. This indicates an addiction problem, which obviously needs to be treated.
Regarding the GGT , absolute abstinence is the only way forward. once the damaged liver recovers and regenerates itself, I am sure the enzyme levels will come back to normal. I can understand that beating addiction can be very difficult. So I would advice you to consult with a de-addiction specialist who can guide and help you through the process.

hope this helps and hope you start to feel better. please do not hesitate to write back for any clarifications.

have a great day.

Brief Answer:
mild perturbations in the liver function tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello again Mr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thank you for taking me into your confidence and I can assure you that this conversation will remain confidential, as per the policy of HCM.
After perusal of your reports, you seem to be in excellent health, except for the mild perturbations in the liver function tests. Your AST and ALT are elevated as well which definitely points towards liver injury.

Please consult an addiction specialist to help you through the de-addiction process. Also try to develop some hobby which can keep you motivated and busy in your free time. This has helped a lot of my patients to beat addiction.

Hope this helps and hope you start to feel better,
As always, please do not hesitate to write back for any clarifications.

have a great day.
