What Does My HSV-2 Test Result Indicate?

I had a HSV-2 test negative on september 2013 with negative results and a HSV-2 positive on august 14 with a value of 1.54. Same sexual partner since a year and a half ago. Can this be a false positive?
Under the result there is a paragraph that say.
Hsv2 IGG inhibition Elisa
The HSV-2 IGG screenig essay was repeated at the Focus Diagnostics, and the result was NO POSITIVE (the index was <1.10) thus, the inhibition study result could not be determined. This assay in intended only for samples giving a positive index in the HerpeSelect HSV-2 type-specific gig screening ELISA. A POSITIVE inhibition study interpretation indicates a trie HSV-2 specific reactivity, whereas a NEGATIVE inhibition screening index was falsely positive.
Yes, likely a false positive test!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these results and all the inconvenience this has caused you. from the information you have provided alongside the comments on the interpretation section, this test was a false positive. If it were for real positive, there would have been a reaction on the second set of testing showing positive.
In all, this test is a false positive following the information provided on the interpretation section. It could not be determined as positive or negative but it presented as NO POSITIVE. Coupled with previous testing and a sexual history not suggestive of a possible infection, I will root for false positive on this. At worse, the results are indeterminate!
I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

NO further testing for now!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.
There is no need for further testing as this time. It will not change anything as concerns your health or management. Should you find reasons to do so again sometime in future, that's okay but not right away.
False positives are not common but do occur and that's why it is important to go a step further and make sure it is for real positive before delivering the news to clients.
I wish you well.
