What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Question: had mri on back report to doctor said there was a 'shadow' on the scan she took blood tests does this shadow mean cancer has returned could it be anything else

A shadow in MRI is different density of the part as compare to surrounding tissue.
It is very difficult to guess this terminology.
Even the doctor who has seen the MRI can not say more than that.
It has to be further evaluated like blood test and biopsy for a confirmed diagnosis.
Please wait for your doctors report , he will let you know in due course of time, as and when it will be confirmed to him.

thank you but what I wanted to ask was could it be something else less serious like arthritis
