What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Small or hypoplastic transverse sinus is a normal finding
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. I report MRI scans of brain and venograms regularly and find many patients who have a small transverse sinus on one side. These are channels through which the blood flows in in the venous system and often this might be smaller on one side. It does not cause any serious problem and is not related to your headaches.
2. Please note that headache might be due to other causes like eye strain, tension, and sometimes migraines. This has to be evaluated clinically by your neurologist.
3. There is no need to worry for the MRI brain scan and venogram and it is very much a normal finding.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts,
Regards,
