What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

Just curious as to what would likely cause left shoulder back/left rib pain after eating (especially when breathing heavily) in a 30 yr old overweight male?
I've been having GI issues for sometimes now (gallbladder removed, persistent RUQ pain that no one can solve, etc) so I'm just curious if it's something strictly diet related or not. I've had a CT and abdominal MRI and nothing was found. I should mention that it is very much "on the surface", ie I'm sure it's not cardiac.
Thank you
At a age of 30 cardiac event is highly unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
As per your query most likely your symptoms are due to acid peptic disorder most likely gastritis.CT ,MRI etc are normal in patient with gastritis.
Suggestion-
Initially get a 2d echo done.If its normal pain is non cardiac and is most likely due to gastritis.
Take a proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole 40 mg twice daily along with a prokinetic drug (eg.Domperidone) for 21 days. This will provide you symptomatic relief from symptoms of peptic ulcer.
(you may need to obtain prescription for this from your local physician).
Antacid like Peptobismol can be taken for few days along with it.
Any over counter probiotic should be taken for few days to provide relief in symptoms.
Acotiamide is another wonderful new drug and is very effective in controlling symptoms . In trials- Acotiamide, a gastrointestinal motility modulator, at a standard dose of 100mg thrice daily has significantly affected esophageal motor functions in healthy adults.Don't use it right now lets first see how you respond to basic medications.
Apart from this, some dietary restrictions are to be followed-
- Avoid alcohol or smoking.
- No aerated beverages.
- Take light non spicy easily digestible food for few days.
- No Fast food like pizza or burger should be taken.
- Drink a cup of cold milk daily.
- Avoid Dairy products, which contain sugar lactose that causes gas.
Vegetables, including onions, radishes, cabbage, celery, carrots, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and legumes.
Fruit sugar, which is especially high in prunes, raisins, bananas, apples, apricots and fruit juices from prunes, grapes and apple

Try Eating more fermented foods. These are rich in both good bacteria and enzymes you can try raw natto kefir or cultured veggies. This is probably one of the most important first steps.
