Brief Answer:
It is not common for a synovial cyst to disappear.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Synovial cysts of the lumbosacral spine even after treatment ( conservative or surgical ) may recur, so, in my opinion, it is difficult to be sure that the synovial cyst disappeared.

However, if the MRI's were examined carefully, and the conclusion is clear that there is no synovial cyst, disappearances may occur in rare cases.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
