What Does My MRI Scan Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Sep 2015
Question: Hello, these are images of my 7yr old niece who had a MRI today. My sister-in-law managed to get a copy of the MRI. My niece has had a history of constant bladder infections and they wanted to rule out spinal bifida. Could you look at these to see if anything might stand out? Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
Not like Spine bifida.Tethered cord to rule out.Upload better images/CD.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I saw the MRI film you uploaded. It is a poor quality image with just one sagittal section.
This image does not give an impression like Spina bifida.
However,I would like to study the whole MRI here,as the possibility of Tethered cord is to be ruled out. This particular image does not give a clear message.
In another image, you uploaded, spine is not clearly visible. It is a lateral section.

I suggest you to,either upload MRI CD(preferable) on google drive and paste the link here in follow-up question,or click high quality multiple images and upload them here.

Waiting for the follow-up.

Brief Answer:
Upload the CD as a single zipped file.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

You have uploaded the individual components of the CD separately.I am not able to play it.
'GEARview.exe' file you have uploaded asks some username and password.
I basically, want the whole CD to be uploaded as a single zipped file, which I can extract play with my DICOM viewer.

Hope you understand.Waiting for your follow-up.

Just to let you know. I clicked the file link I uploaded to Google Drive and all the contents displayed. There is a Start file in there that will launch the program without passwords or usernames. This should work. Thanks again.
