What Does My X-ray Test Result Indicate?
Question: I just had an X-ray done on my hip and the results showed peripheral marginal osteophyte formation with sub cortical cystic changes in the ace tabular roof. What does this mean is it a sign of bone cancer?
Brief Answer:
These are not signs of cancer but arthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
These findings suggest Osteoarthritis of the hip. These are degenerative changes noted on the Xray.
Don't worry. These aren't signs of cancer.
You can follow some precautions. Avoid climbing stairs or doing any heavy loading activities like running or jogging. Do range of movement exercises as advised by a Physiotherapist. If you have pain that isn't subsiding, you cab take pain killer like Ibuprofen for now.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
