What Does My Abdominal Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

I received my abdomen ultrasound and it says there is a 2.7 x 1.7 x 2.2 cm isoechoic lesion in the upper right lobe on my liver, with hypoechoic margin. it also says that the lesion is not characteristic in apperance of a benign hemangioma. Does this mean that it is malignant? I have attached the report. Is there anything else in the report that I need to be concerned about?
Lesion in right lobe of liver may be due to many reasons.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Lesion in right lobe of liver may be due to many reasons. It is too early to comment on exact nature of lesion. It doesn't mean malignant.
Hemangioma are generally hyper echoic in appearance.
You are rightly suggested for contrast CT scan or contrast MRI of abdomen. It can only assess details of mass like its enhancement, extension etc. This is very helpful in diagnosis.
Ultrasound or CT guided FNAC can be done for assessing exact nature of lesion.
It is also important to know clinical details.
Treatment depend upon findings.
Findings also suggest small gall bladder polyps. These are genarally benign lesions. You may only need follow up ultrasound for gall bladder polyps.

It may be benign also.We should wait for further investigations.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
As we discussed earlier, typically hemangioma are hyperechoic(bright) in appearance. It may be hypoechoic(dark)in 10 % of the cases.
It is not possible to tell exact nature based on ultrasound findings.
CT scan or MRI are important in diagnosis. FNAC can only assess exact pathology.
So,please don't be worried. It may be benign also.
