I will give a lay mans explaination so that you can easily understand the things.

There are three main vessels which supply blood to heart namely-
LAD-Left anterior descending artery(Supplies left side of heart).
LCX-Left circumflex artery supplying back side of heart.
RCA-Right coronary artery supplying right side of heart.

For simplicity each vessel is further classified into proximal(first),Middle and Distal(farthest) part.

A blockage less then 75% is not significant.However when any of these arteries or their small branches have a blockage more then 75%,blood supply to heart is critically restricted and stent should be placed to prevent heart attack(when blockage becomes more then 90% blood supply to that part of heart becomes almost zero(critical narrowing) killing the muscles in that part leading to severe heart attack).

As per the reports you have attached the patient had a critical blockage more then 90% in proximal part of LAD(Artery supplying left side of heart).Hence immediate stenting should be done to prevent myocardial infarction.

Coronary artery is located on the surface of the heart.So in order to see if these vessels are open or block we need to reach them.These vesels are connected to Femoral artery in leg and radial artery in hand.So to access coronary artery we make a pucture in femoral or radial artery after making a puncture a plastic tube is inserted into it,which guides the way to coronary artery(Catheter). Now to see if there is blocage or not a radioactive XXXXXXX is injected into guide wire.If all vessels are open this XXXXXXX mixes in blood and reaches to all part of heart however in case if there is a blockage this radiopaque XXXXXXX fails to reach the part of heart distal to blocked zone. A scanner catches the diffusion of XXXXXXX in coronary vessels.Cardiologist see the pictures taken by scanner and decides the percentage of block.


Impression means result-Single vessel disease(SVD) out of the three main vessels one is blocked.
