Brief Answer:
You should continue her pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
I can understand your concern.
I have worked through her report and in her report her PI is more then normal and it is showing notch in it.
If PI is high it will increased uteroplacental blood flow resistance, so it will cause preeclampsia and fetal growth retardation in the future.
Your doctor gave right treatment and advice because aspirin is helpful in decreasing resistance in flow and maintain normal flow, so the chances of preeclampsia and growth retardation decreased.
You should go for repeat scan after 4 weeks to see PI is decreasing or not.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.
Good luck.

Here are the answers of your queries-
- Your fetal growth seems normal in her ultrasound report, fetal parameters are normal according to gestational age.
-If medication works properly then chances of normal fetal outcome.
- Yes, should sleep in left lateral position to improve blood circulation.

what if the next scan doesn't improve, is abortion the only way out next. also u asked to do yoga & exercise but will it not effect the placenta, is my placenta in the safe zone can I exercise, also is this phenomenon normal during pregnancy, are they woman who have delivered normal babys , is it worth taking the risk as we already have a kid, pls help me with a detailed advise. pls help am having sleepless nights after my wife's pregnancy pls help
Brief Answer:
Abortion is not a good option in her case.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your anxiety and concern.
But if her next scan will not show any improvement in her PI index that does not mean that she definitely develop preeclampsia in the future and your baby growth is hampered means baby develop IUGR.
I will not suggest abortion in her case because her scan is not showing any congenital anomaly and fetal growth retardation now.
IUGR and preeclampsia occurs due to other causes also, so she should continue her pregnancy under expert supervision and she should delivered in a good hospital because chances of caesarean section higher in these cases.( if fetal distress is there).
Yes, her placenta is in a normal position and mild exercise and yoga is recommended in her case, as it increased placental blood circulation and it is not harmful.
In these cases blood circulation of the brain is maintained, so no brain injury is there, usually supply to liver is affected.
So in my opinion, you should think positive and if any complications arise in the future, it will resolve with proper management.
So enjoy your parenthood.
Good luck.

thanks doctor for your advise, your very positive but in case if the fetal doesn't grow as expected what would be the next step, in case everything goes well how much is the chance of having a healthy kid, as I don't want to take risk & finally having a kid with down syndrome, incase of an abortion can my wife carry again, will the current situation hamper her body, pls be very vocal as I am little worried, I also told u I have a kid which which was delivered naturally
Brief Answer:
Your baby growth is most probably normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, I am positive because of her current report showing that everything is normal, only PI is increased ( other parameters are normal).
If in her next report fetal growth is not appropriate, you can consult an expert gynecologist and continue pregnancy under her guidance.
and should take treatment for fetal growth.
If everything goes well chances of healthy kid is almost 100%.
You can rule out Down syndrome with triple marker test, second level ultrasound and through amniocentasis, so why you are worried( as such her scan shows no chromosal abnormality).
If you are planning for an abortion, she will definitely carry her next pregnancy, but you should wait for at least 6 months to one year for next pregnancy.
Hope it is useful.
