As we discussed on Chat, lifestyle modification is better than medication
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
As we discussed during your chat session. Your labs look just fine. Mild dehydration is what is causing your high RBC and Hemoglobin counts. Try and make sure you increase your intake of plain water.
Metoprolol is a drug that will help bring down your blood pressure. But its not something to be started and stopped on a whim. If you want to avoid taking the medication, then you need to incorporate regular exercise and relaxation techniques into your daily life.
Try and find a regular exercise that you enjoy and look into yoga. Recheck your heart rate and BP in 4 months and we will see if you really need that med.
