What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Nov 2015
Question: Routine blood test revealed alp level 141 and calcium level 10.1. Doctor not too concerned but wants me to retake in a month. I'm afraid it may be something like bone cancer. He also said the test showed liver enzymes not a problem so it's a bone issue. Not sure what to do. Are these levels consistent with cancer?

Brief Answer:
You need not to worry about these levels as these are with in normal limits

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the results you have shared, it seems less likely to be the case of any bone malignancy. Both these values are fairly normal. If calcium is raised then 12 and alkaline phosphatase is almosy touching thousand, it might have raised any such suspicion. But these values are just about nornal. I don't even see any reason to repeat those; but for reassurance based in your clinical scanario, if you want to do so, you can.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you dont have any more questions, please close the discussion. You can contact me directly through my profile in future for any more queries. Regards.
